How to Design Your smart String light?

if you wanna develop your own brand smart string light, it is very easy now. With the solutions, you can finish your design just several steps.

step 1,Choose the cable solution.

We have 2 design cables for the solution of the smart string light. 3 wires and 5 wires cable.

• 3 wires cable, the end of the string light is a plug that can connect to another string light without another control box.  most of brands use this 3 wires design.
  Advantage: lower cost, the price can be cheaper than 5 wires version. one control box control multi string light sets. app control at one string light.
  Disadvantage:  48 bulbs maximum to connected and control. for example, your design one string light with 15 bulbs, just can connect 3 string lights together.
• 5 wires cable design, the end of the string light is a NEMA 1-15R plug. or similar plug for different countries.
  2 wires are special for transfer the power to another string light. and every string light still has a control box.
  Advantage: they can be connected with unlimited length. every string light can be controlled singly or control them with groups on APP.
  Disadvantage: The app need to set the multi string lights to a group to control. And the price would be more expensive than the 3- wire version.

Currently, the Atomi smart string light choose the 5-wire cable version, and all other brands like XMCOSY+, HBN etc. choose the 3-wires version.

step 2,Choose the length of the string light and the bulb qty etc.

Usually brands owner will choose the popular length like 48ft to meet the final customers requirements. sometimes, the brand owner will do some special design, like make the length of the front cable longer than ohter brand, and with some proof box to make some different from other brands. step 3,Choose the LED types

LED can be white color or colorful one, The RGBW or RGBWW etc. Usually we will recommend brand owner to develop some different versions to cover different customers.

step 4,Choose the Bulb shapes

Usually the bulb shapes would be an identification for a brand. Just like the brand Atomi, the bulb is so different from other brand. so if you would like to make a different brand, you need to design a different bulb shape. That would be different from other brand. with the manufacturers’ cooperation, you can try to patent your bulb apperance. To protect your market.
